Unfork is an open-source lab dedicated to deep decision research. We believe 'The World Needs One Answer' and build Amos as the fast-thinking decision layer that collapses countless possibilities into a single, auditable, confidence-calibrated conclusion, powering efficient, reliable AI systems.
Why 'The World Needs One Answer'?
Mainstream LLMs represent 'Slow Thinking' (System 2) — adept at generating prose and long reasoning chains, but plagued by high cost, variable latency, and uncalibrated probabilities. Invoking heavy generative models for every routing or moderation step quickly overwhelms enterprise throughput and budgets.
Collapsing forks into one decision is Amos's model function, and 'The World Needs One Answer' is our core thesis: Amos serves as 'System 1', outputting the single answer from a single inference pass and resolving high-throughput deterministic cases; on uncertainty, it escalates to 'System 2' reasoning models for deeper verification. Every path converges into the same executable conclusion — one answer, everything else is process.
